Chicago is GREAT for investing in! You should see discounts of 12-20% go online in about 3 months or so. A typical shotgun 3/2 can fetch $700k to $1M on the market.If you have the means of gutting out old flats and condos, then go for it. Real money there as inner city DT Chicago gets about $300 plus per sqft. Burbs is better going West and North, plenty of builder closeouts to come by. Soutside basically sat for the past 10 year growth, but it has so much going for it in terms of entertainment and vicinity to DT Chicago, an opp't one can't miss. As always follow "the RED". : ) Let's keep in touch, I am interested in what you can find immediately in your n-hood. My kinda town Chicago!
